Warning, this site is not secure!

What will a visitor do when he reads 'Warning, this site is not secure' while searching on his favourite website? If he has to type in his personal data he will probably refrain from doing so. Not secure means that scary people can start doing scary stuff with your data. Said warning will be a reality as of october this year. Google tightens noose on HTTP: Chrome to stick 'Not secure' on pages with search fields.

What to do prior to an omni-channel campaign

An omni-channel marketing campaign utilizes multiple channels to reach out to potential customers. An example is a campaign that combines telemarketing (companies still do this) with onsite web forms, email, and a LinkedIn campaign. This is what I did for several software vendors. In order to maximize the effectiveness of a campaign however, you should think of a couple of things in advance. It will make your life as a marketer much easier.

Three golden principles of Content Marketing

I hate to say it, but definitely will: content was king, is king and will keep being king!! Though I seem talking to deaf man's ears for years, now, in 2015, I think it finally caught on considering the top position content marketing holds in many trend researches.

    00-ies content
Back in the 00-ies, when still a content manager, I developed a sense of the
significance of content marketing. Though content back then was still considered to be the digital display of offline copy, I kept including it in business strategies. The result was scorning managers telling me that content was 'just' some writing, or worse, the copy paste of information made by people with 'real knowledge'

Seven Ugly Truths About Content Marketing

I never understood why so many businesses seem to misconstrue the very concept of content. Most content does not represent a product or service that well. It even became painfully clear to me that a lot of content is not optimised for organic search at all. To make matters worse, businesses do not seem to think about the receiving end of content: the very people who are supposed to read the content or should I say refrain from reading it because the content is not informative or just plain the equivalent of a giant corporate ego-trip shouting out how great their products and services are. It's the ugly truth about a lot of content in 2014. To further explore this ugly truth I found an article with a very practical overview of content faux-pas. Read it and wheep!
